Nestled into rolling country hills, Chanteclaire Farm's barn hosts up to 275 guests.  The setting is sophisticated yet relaxed, with over 6,000 square feet of dining, socializing, and dancing space.  Most events start at the pond, move to the deck and cocktail area, then finally move into the dining room where massive barn doors open to the decks and pond.

Inside the 1870s traditional Bank Barn, antiques abound and decor is timeless.  Chanteclaire's native French founder created an environment that effortlessly mixes formality, elegance, and comfort.

At the end of the Chanteclaire Farm entrance lane the barn appears -- painted in red with crisp white trim.  Massive doors slide open to reveal hint of sparkle everywhere -- from grand crystal chandeliers  to stained glass and jeweled mirrors.  Hand-painted antiques enliven every nook and corner.  Everything is artistically arranged, and everything paints a picture and tells a story.

In the dining room, dining tables surround a large central dance floor.  Wooden ladders and woven baskets add a dose of cozy farmhouse charm to the soaring space.

The "Lower Grange" is dedicated entirely to cocktail hour.  Leather sofas and colorful armchairs form vignettes so that people can melt away from the crowd and form more relaxed and intimate conversation. The terra-cotta stained floors remind one of European stone that's been worn by footsteps until it's as smooth as silk.  A central bar surrounds a piano in the middle of the room and hors d'ouvres get displayed nearby.

Make your event even more memorable! The  Honeymoon Cabin and the Farmhouse are beautifully appointed and will transport you to another time -- one of quiet luxury and romance.

The Honeymoon Cabin

Indeed, the cabin looks as if American settlers could have homesteaded here 170 years ago and added onto the compound as their families and their fortunes flourished.  The property is crafted, not built.  It is subtle but luxurious, and wonderfully warm and inviting.  Antiques are everywhere, making you feel as though you have been transported to another time.

Outside on the front porch, a double swing allows visitors to sway back and forth while watching the water flow downhill into the pond.  The red barn sits on the opposite side of the pond -- fully visible but somehow a world away.

On the other side of the cabin, your host may be lighting a fire in a massive stone fire pit.  This is where friends gather to drink wine and tell stories.

The Honeymoon Cabin is fully outfitted with wireless internet, microwave, mini-refrigerator, kitchen supplies, hair dryer, free-standing shower and luxury linens.

The Farmhouse

Before the farmhouse was fully renovated, brides would gather with their entourage in the cabin to prepare for the wedding. Now with central air and a large luxury bathroom in the master bedroom of the Farmhouse, the ladies have typically commandeered the larger building and left the men to party in the cabin.

Built in 1870, the 4 bedroom and 3 bathroom Farmhouse has been completely renovated into a provincial retreat.

Set on 100 acres amidst the rolling hills of Garrett County, the Farmhouse will transport you to a completely peaceful setting only 5 minutes from the restaurants and activities of Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Resort.

Outside, guests can explore open fields surrounded by apple and walnut trees, rushing mountain streams and a pond, wooded hillsides filled with deer and wildlife, or expansive corn and soy fields with walking trails. In the winter, sled or cross-country ski without ever leaving the property. Spend days exploring the farm, or drive 4 miles into Deep Creek Lake.

Inside, every room exudes charm and character.

The master bedroom with king bed and luxury master bath is an oasis unto itself.  The master bedroom is large enough for the brides and her maids to get ready in; the luxury master bath has plenty of counter top and mirror space.

Each of the three other queen bedrooms has unique character and stunning furnishings. The queen rooms share two full baths, one with a claw foot tub and separate shower, the other located adjacent to the laundry room.

Sitting rooms are both elegant and comfortable, and the custom dining table seats 10 in custom carved benches you'll never want to stand up from. Both front and back porches are sized for socializing. The front overlooks the pond and stream, and is filled with lounge chairs and a dining table. The back porch overlooks fields and forest, and is made for grilling, with plenty of seating and a dining table.

The Farmhouse is fully outfitted with wireless internet, full kitchen and cooking supplies, hair dryers and luxury linens.

Chanteclaire Farm's 100 acres offer the perfect outdoor setting for any event.  Guests can wander the farm, looking for ducks or deer and listening to the soothing wind chimes.

Take a Walking Tour of the Farm through the eyes of a photographer.

Chanteclaire Farm is designed to put everyone at ease, beginning as soon as you drive down the enchanting tree lined lane.

From the first buds of Spring to vibrant Autumn foilage, the long lane makes time stand still and nearly every bride sneaks away for a private moment or two with their new spouse.  The lane also provides a grand entrance if your plans include a horse drawn carriage or the rustic old ford truck.

Then, Here comes the Bride... under the heart shaped arch and down the natural stone aisle.

The ceremony site is perfectly planned with a deck to overlook the tranquil pond with its fountain and picturesque fence line surrounded by wooded mountains and rolling fields.  The wrought iron gazebo provides a beautiful focal point that you are free to decorate as you please according to your own vision and taste.

Once you have tied the knot and dismissed your guests to the barn and expansive decks for the
cocktail hour, venture around the pond with your photographer searching to capture some incredibly romantic shots by the fence line, surrounding barns, or in the field with your whole bridal party.

Relax and enjoy every minute!

Now continue around the lane and head back to the barn.  There is a great party waiting for you as the guest of honor.  Dance long into the night and light a bonfire to keep the party going even later.

Still want to see more?  Take the short hike past the pond, farmhouse, and storage barns and up a hill toward a lone oak tree.  Here you'll get a panoramic view of the entire farm and breathtaking views of rolling country hills.
